Prologue: Go Wayback! Announcement and Live Discussion – December 6

Prologue: Go Wayback!

Prologue: Go Wayback! is a single-player open-world emergent game within the survival genre. With classic survival mechanics and machine learning-driven terrain generation resulting in millions of possible maps, it challenges the players to explore their limits.

We’re pleased to announce Prologue: Go Wayback!, a new immersive survival game set in a vast, procedurally generated wilderness. Alongside this announcement, we’ve released Preface: Undiscovered World, a tech demo showcasing the real-time, Earth-sized simulation capabilities of the Melba engine. Preface: Undiscovered World is available to download on Steam now. To provide more context about both projects, we’re hosting a live discussion on Discord on December 6 at 1900 CET. Brendan “PLAYERUNKNOWN” Greene and senior members of the PLAYERUNKNOWN Productions team will share insights into the development of Prologue: Go Wayback!, including how Preface: Undiscovered World serves as the technological foundation for this ambitious project. The discussion will also outline our broader vision and give participants a clear sense of what’s ahead. This will include updates on how you can get involved in playtests for Prologue: Go Wayback!, and be amongst the first to try the game. How to Get Involved: Join our Discord and RSVP for the live discussion on December 6. Download Preface: Undiscovered World on Steam to explore the technology driving Prologue: Go Wayback! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2820060/Preface_Undiscovered_World/ This is an opportunity to understand the interplay between Preface: Undiscovered World and Prologue: Go Wayback!, and to engage directly with the development team as they discuss their progress and future plans.
