Hey everyone! Since the playtest started, we put a lot of effort into applying your feedback, and we are really happy to share a new patch for the game! Our main focus was of course the UI/UX, since this was one of the most frequent points in your feedback. We took a lot of time re-thinking how the game should feel, and how to make the navigation easier based on your suggestions. 🎮UI/UX:

When playing a card, you can now directly target the cell where you want to apply the effect
Buildings, trees, and props will now become 35% transparent when hiding a unit. Unit's silhouette opacity have been reduced to 15%, in order to subtly highlight the unit without compromising the battlefield readability
In the Combat Phase, card tooltips are now displayed next to the card
Card tooltips are now displayed in buildings and in the deck window
Card effect text is now updated with the toad's current stats
Hovering over a building in the Management Phase will display an icon (currently placeholder) to show that you can buy cards
We have also started integrating some of your feedback in terms of game design and balancing. 📯Game Design/Balancing:

Burn now works with counters. An enemy will apply X Burn Counter to its target. 1* Burn Counter* is removed at the beginning of the turn, or anytime a card is played, the latter dealing 1 damage
Introduction of the Extinguish mechanic - some card effects reduce Burn Counters
Toads do not have a "movement range" stat anymore. Movement is based on cards effects, and on buffs.
Stabbing buff is now called Strength, and Shooting buff is now called Accuracy
Most of the card effects have been reworked to create more engaging combat situations
Building passives have been removed
Buildings will now only offer 3 cards. The player will have to place another building of the same type to buy more cards from it
Buildings will now offer 3 random cards, selected from their own card pool
And last but not least... new trees! 🔥🌳 Thank you so much to all of you. Once again, your feedback and suggestions are the key for us to make Toads of the Bayou the best we can, and it is an absolute thrill to see you all play the game and to hear your great ideas about the game in its current state. The playtest is still LIVE until 5th July, don't miss out on your chance to play and give us your thoughts 🐸❤️ You can join through our Discord and by following the instruction in the Announcement channel: discord.gg/JG9rgyXATM The La Grange Team.
