GETTING STARTED
Your adventure begins with you - Joe - washed ashore on Peachleaf Island, a tropical paradise and pirate haven. And, wouldn't you know it, you have no idea how you got there. Complete amnesia. What are the chances!? After being made an official citizen of Peachleaf, you're given your own wooden cabin, a plot of land, some basic tools and a pack of mango seeds.

You'll be greeted at your plot by Rupert, a local goblin with plenty of wisdom to impart via a tutorial, which we recommend all first-time players go through. Don't worry, it's not too painful and gives you all the basics you need to get started.
After the tutorial it's up to you what to do next – Peachleaf can be played at your own pace, and you can focus on whatever aspect appeals to you the most, whether it's completing quests, spending time farming, or developing your combat skills.
QUESTING
The main story pits you against the no-good, all-around bad egg, Lord Rathmore. He wants to corrupt the ancient and mysterious Peachleaf Tree, which – legend says – sustains the precarious balance between the forces of good and evil voodoo on the island. Save the tree to save the day!
In addition to rescuing the fabled flora, there are several side-quests to keep you busy. You'll
come across these by talking with Peachleaf residents, and exploring the island. Tasks include fun activities such as foraging for a carrot, locating a misplaced parrot, and investigating a cult. Island life is never dull.
FARMING
There are over 30 different types of crop to grow and harvest during the island's four different seasons (warm, wet, dry, and hurricane). These include such exotic wonders as firemelons, glow peppers, stonedrops, and pinkberries. Harvesting crops gives you XP and, once harvested, they can be sold, used in recipes, or eaten raw for some HP and energy. Growing crops isn't a total breeze, however. They can be prone to disease, and pesky, light-fingered goblins.

As you progress through the game, you'll be able to introduce six different species of animal to your farm: chickens, tortlings, bees, kualakus, brachi, and dinoflies. These all have their uses. For example, dinoflies can eventually be put to work harvesting crops, which is one less job for you to worry about.
COMBAT ADVENTURING
The jungle can be a dangerous place and there are plenty of beasties to battle, which is why you eventually arm yourself with a sword and gun for melee and ranged combat respectively. Defeating enemies earns XP that can be used to level-up your combat skills and unlock a range of increasingly powerful attacks. You can also unlock the mysterious, magical powers of voodoo, which allows you to use earth, wind, and fire elemental spell-casting. These can also be upgraded with XP.

While you will encounter the odd wandering fiend among the island foliage, if you really want to rack up combat XP, and also bag some riches and resources while you're at it, there's a jungle temple you can visit which is crawling with creatures just waiting to be vanquished.
CRAFTING
You know the drill by now – gather resources to make stuff. When you first get started, there are only eight items available to craft, but as you progress, level-up, and research, you'll eventually have over 120 craftable items to choose from. These range from a bog-standard wooden fence, all the way up to a flashy water fountain.
LEVELING-UP AND RESEARCHING
Self-improvement is a key factor of island life, and there are seven unique skill trees to level up, with over 95 different skills.
As previously mentioned, participating in combat and voodoo earns XP, which can be used to level-up combat and voodoo skills. In addition, working on the farm harvesting crops, chopping down trees, smashing rocks etc., gives XP that can be used to improve homesteading skills. Upgrading these results in better crops, better animal products, better fishing, and a variety of other benefits.

Also, whenever homesteading is leveled-up, it awards you with a research point. These can be spent to unlock new items, upgrades, and objects, such as water features, potion table, jam cooker, fermentation barrel, dinofly nest, and plenty more cool stuff besides.
Aaaaand, whenever any XP is earned, some of it always goes towards general XP, which can be used to level-up – you guessed it – a general skill. These include increased energy and HP, increased evasion, increased attack damage, increased benefits from potions and fruit etc., etc.
YOU'RE READY FOR PEACHLEAF PIRATES
