Washed ashore with no memory of how you got there, an eccentric cast of locals welcome you to their quirky paradise. Divide your time between adventuring and homesteading, and discover there’s more to the island than palm trees and parrots in this colorful RPG with point & click & farm-sim elements.
Hi there!
I'm Carl, and I'm the developer of Peachleaf Pirates. I wanted to give you a friendly reminder to sign-up for the Peachleaf Pirates open beta!, which you can do right now at this link: https://www.digerati.games/peachleafbeta
The beta kicks off next week, November 4th, and runs until November 18th.
For everyone who has already signed-up to try my game, thank you so much! It really means the world to me. Peachleaf is my first game, and it's totally surreal for me that it's now at a stage where real actual people (like you) will be playing it!
When I first began work on Peachleaf, I was working in a hotel. I couldn’t code, and I couldn’t draw, but I knew that I wanted to create a game. So I spent all my spare time trying to learn how to program, and every spare second at work writing, sketching, and drawing concepts for the game on everything from napkins to post-it notes.

A lot has happened in my life and the world at large since then. From the very start, my idea was to create a game that you could sink a few hours into after a rough day at work, and hopefully have some fun at the same time.
Growing up, I loved playing point-n-click adventure games, and I was absolutely enthralled by the Monkey Island-series. I also sank many hours into the original Sims, and pretty much any game since then with base-building or farming. I’ve also always loved a good skill/tech-tree. So, naturally, I wanted to cram all that into my own game. I figured that, if nothing else, I could at least make a game that I would find fun to play.
For the first year or so of development on Peachleaf, whenever I enthusiastically shared my vision of a whimsical point-n-click/farm-sim/rpg mashup, I was met with an echo of people saying it was way too ambitious for my first game, and I should create a Pong-clone instead of this ridiculous project.
I didn’t listen.
And here we are. 3,941 hours in GameMaker Studio and 3,828 hours in Aseprite later.
The game is very close to being done, but it's still not completely polished. The full release will have some additional dialogue options throughout the game, and there will be a bit less silence and more music.
Once again, thank you so so much for playing! I can't wait to hear, and learn from, your feedback, and I sincerely hope that you enjoy trying out the game!
