This update mainly focuses on these things:

Network rewrite - Reducing input lag.

In-game progression.

Rework of the sword class.

A final tiebreaker game round.

New introduction tutorial.
But it also contains tons of minor fixes, changes and bugs! Alright, let's dive into it!
Network update - Reducing input lag
We have completely rewritten the underlying network system. The result of this is mainly reduced input lag which means that the game is now more responsive to your input. With this in place we will now be able to extend the weapon classes with more timed abilities which in turn will open up for more skilled plays. Something that was impossible with our previous system.
This rewrite of the underlying code did break almost all aspects of the gameplay, and we have spent a lot of time to get back to where we were before. But now, we are finally back enough to release an update even though we still have a lot to catch up to.
In-game progression
We have added an in-game progression system where you collect gems in each round which you then can buy boosters with, such as increased speed and health. You get these gems by killing opponents or by finding them on the map.
Sword class rewrite
We have completely changed how the sword is handled. Thanks to the network rewrite you can now do smaller and more placed swings. We haven't had the time to add any animations to him yet. So he looks a bit jerky. But we are working on it!
Tiebreaker game round
We have added a final game round, which takes place as a tiebreaker to make sure that only one team wins. Watch out for the enclosing circle!
Tutorial
The practice room is currently replaced with a new tutorial level which all new players will play to learn the game a bit easier. This new training level has bots, so you are not stuck to fight those stationary dummies anymore.
Onward
This update took a while, probably way to long. But we know that we now will be able to release updates more frequently than ever before.
See you in the arena!
