Fargone is an RPG-based survival game with a strong focus on creating a living, breathing world through dynamic events, and NPC interactions. Set in a fictional land known only as The Barrens, you must survive by any means, whether that be alone or by allying yourself with a faction.

This update brings a significant overhaul to the progression system, a feature I've been eager to implement for quite some time. Drawing inspiration from typical RPG skill trees, the new progression system in Fargone aims for realism. Each skill has been carefully designed to make sense within the game world, ensuring balance without sacrificing the excitement of unlocking new abilities. Additionally, this patch includes numerous bug fixes, enhancements to lighting, and performance improvements, further refining the player experience. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Fargone community and contributed to its development. Regular bug fixes and smaller patches will continue as regularly as they have been and the next update is planned for early April and will feature some significant new content to play. [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43315919/e3ae91da4692ce0f32d0f9bb46b2572e94505c7c.png[/img] [b][h2]Skill tree[/h2][/b] The XP system has been reintroduced alongside a completely revamped skill tree system, providing plenty of choices to build out your character in unique ways. With three trees—Survivalist, Scavenger, and Fighter—each featuring four tiers, there are a total of 24 skills to unlock. Each tree represents a distinct playstyle, offering players the opportunity to specialize in survival, scavenging, or combat. Within each tier, players must choose between two skills, emphasizing balance while ensuring that progression feels realistic—you can't become a master of everything (most likely)! In addition to the skill system, new AI spawns have been introduced, along with a new warehouse POI located in the mountains, replacing the old one found during the "Ran Too Far" mission. Night vision goggles have undergone an overhaul, making them far more useful. Color grading has been reworked to create brighter and clearer daytimes, while bloom implementation has also been reworked, enhancing the visuals and atmosphere of the game even further.
