Night's One/Two Development Update

Love Sucks: Night One

Love Sucks is an adult Visual Novel, in which monster-kind has secretly integrated with humanity. Two monster girls, a vampire and a succubus have chosen you to be their date this Halloween! But their motives go beyond just showing you a good time...

Hello friends! From Art Witch Studios, and me personally, I want to wish everyone the merriest of Merry Christmases. I hope you have a good holiday season and eat absurd amounts of food and chocolate until you regret it. I also hope you get to pet the family pets you haven't seen in a while. ♥ It also occurs to me that I haven't posted an update on steam in a while, and if you're not part of our Discord, you won't have seen us answer these kinds of questions before, so I thought it would be prudent to give everyone an end-of-year update to how things are going on our end. We're still working hard on Night Two, of course! The original plan was to have the game out sometime before the end of the year, and since that's only a few days away now, it's pretty clear we will unfortunately not be able to make that date. Turns out, this kind of thing always takes longer than expected. Sorry we're taking so long, it's hard work and life often gets in the way, but we're not slacking, I promise! Our new plan is to release Love Sucks: Night Two in the first couple of months of 2022, February, hopefully! If it looks like we're going to overshoot that, I'll let you know, but that should be enough time! While you wait, you can still add us to your wishlist so you don't miss it :D We're making good progress with the art, and have gotten some extra helpers to help the fantastic Aila color things faster, and let me spend more time working on all her other obligations. If you've been looking at our Twitter lately, you'll see just how nice Night Two's art is gonna be! We're also keeping a few fun things secret, even from patreons. I think you're gonna love 'em. Frosto is doing great with the programming, and the script is coming along nicely, we still have to edit it though, just to make sure that we only leave a couple of dozen heinous typos for you to tell us about and for us to fix while being embarrassed about it. Frosto is nice and ahead of the curse, despite having recently adopted a kitten to distract him, and he's been spending some of the extra time making Night One even nicer. We plan to have some more voice lines, and we're going to see about putting achievements into Night One within the next few weeks, fingers crossed!
