It Belongs in a Museum is a Rogue-lite, treasure hunting, artifact collection VR story game. Join a shadow organization and help its weakened, resurrected goddess search for magic treasures to undo the curse they unleashed in procedural dungeons, tombs, lost cities, and ancient ruins.
New stuffs:
- Guns can now be saved between levels if you put them in the weapon box on the table or in the back pack.
(don't forget to put some ammo and the weapon in the backpack before leaving the level!)
A big thank you to Louis on the Discord for providing the code to make this happen!
Note: I had thought to make it so that the guns and ammo stayed in the player character between levels, but this is problematic for the ammo as the holders are coded so you can have multiple, meaning that you'd never be able to switch them out. Until I become a better coder (unlikely) or I have time to get more help (more likely) the backpack and crate are the best way to save.
- The backpack no longer has extra ammo holders on the top, this is incase a future idea pans out to work.
- The museum now has the gun shop inside along with targets to practice shooting at. This means you can pick guns and put them in the backpack or crate before going into levels and keep them! (as long as you dont drop them or forget
to put them back in the crate/backpack)
- In the library dialogue scenes before and after a level, Inanna does not walk around as it seemed like a pain in the butt to chase her around the room to start conversation. Now she just turns a bit funny. if you find a problem with this I will switch it back in the future.
- In each of the four main levels you can find museum artifacts that spawn (same as the artifacts that you can purchase at the computer) You can then put them in the backpack or in the crate and bring them back to the museum for safe keeping instead of spending money at the artifact PC. (Again thanks to Louis for this. You made it possible to bring my game closer to its original idea.)
- The mystical fog in the final level has been returned. If it becomes a problem for performance, it will be removed again.
- The magic scimitar in the final level can be kept if you put it in the back pack and return it to the museum. Then you can take it into other levels and easily cut down monsters!
