Long time no see! I made a big update!

It Belongs in a Museum

It Belongs in a Museum is a Rogue-lite, treasure hunting, artifact collection VR story game. Join a shadow organization and help its weakened, resurrected goddess search for magic treasures to undo the curse they unleashed in procedural dungeons, tombs, lost cities, and ancient ruins.

Greetings. It has been a long while since I updated the game last, but I had some free time and wanted to make it better. Hopefully the few of you who still might play it let me know what you think of the changes. 1. Full body avatar. I thank “Johnny5” from the VRIF discord for his wonderful tutorials on how to add full body IK to VR. I was lazy however and I still used the default hands rig and just attached them to the body. I did this because it would be more work to retarget hands to fit as nicely as the originals did, and I just did not want to do that. This in turn means hands will glitch a bit and sometimes bug out, but not usually so. 2. The second section of the levels, the “maze sections” have been slightly visually improved, at least I think they are. Also, they no longer end with a stupid purple teleport at the end, now they have a door with a stupid purple teleport that makes more sense! 3. The player still has the slow down ability attached to the Y button, but now when you shoot the guns, you fire off actual projectiles more powerful than regular gunfire. These will kill most enemies in a few hits, look cool and they will knock them off their feet and flying around. 4. I brought back the dynamic ragdoll enemies. So now you can punch them around and knock them over with your guns and a new baseball bat. Be warned: the baseball bat is hard to use and can cause bugginess, but it is kind of fun! Oh, only the small skeletons, zombies and mummies are dynamic ragdolls, the bigger more bullet spongy enemies cannot be knocked around. 5. The number of enemies in the maze section of the levels was reduced. The few of you that have played and spoken said they were to many. 6. Some textures in the Mayan/Aztec levels were changed. I was never satisfied with them. 7. A knife was added, and the baseball bat have blood effects that spawn on contact with enemies. Enjoy! I think that is it. I hope you enjoy the game as much as I enjoy continuing to work on it! I will update the videos and pictures on the store page also.
