I had long since given up any hope of getting word back from Widevine, certified letters led to spotty email exchanges and a lot, a LOT of waiting around for 2+ years, but a few weeks ago it finally happened! Widevine signed our app which spurred us to patch a number of bugs, redesign the UI to be more user friendly, and build a comprehensive and easy to understand [url=https://www.cinqmarsmedia.com/chameleonvideoplayer/manual.html]user manual[/url]. Coincidently (or not? 🤔) we got the good news literally the day after our announcement that we would be providing Chameleon for free as donation-ware since we felt so aggrieved that our promise of streaming support to our users had gone unfulfilled for so long. We're honestly just excited to finally bring you this feature that we always felt was so integral to this utility. The update is live NOW. I have always had a personal affinity for this application, - I built it for myself and used it for years before realizing others might find value in it (I use it mostly to experience online coursers while multitasking, coursera and edX). I considered it a tremendous failure that, mostly due to limitations with widevine, we could actualize my initial vision for it. I'm so happy to say that at long last, this new build is reminiscent of that vision. This new version is donation ware, the free version requires 15 seconds of waiting at startup if you have not purchased or donated to our non-profit in the past.
