Major REDUX Update for Cast Of The Seven Godsends!

Cast of the Seven Godsends - Redux

Cast of the Seven Godsends harks back to the days when classic 2D, run ’n gun, action-shooter games ruled the arcades. Four levels of difficulty, six worlds to conquer, twelve mid and end-of-level bosses, seven god-like armour sets, five basic weapons and thirty-five magic combat spells!

Exactly one year after Cast Of The Seven Godsends, we’re back with an updated version of the game, which we renamed "Redux". Over the past year we received a bunch of constructive criticism that has helped us improve the gameplay experience. We decided to give console owners the opportunity to play the game too and went about completely re-writing the game in Unity so we could further exploits the game’s potential - New physics, new shaders and greater adaptability to your hardware configuration. - New animations: we doubled the number of frames for the vast majority of the characters. The visuals are now far more fluid. - New engine: the action and movements are faster, the jumps are more controllable and have an expanded tolerance with which you can reach the platforms. The weapons trajectories are crisper; collisions are more accurate with a slight tendency in favor of the player. The camera distance allows for greater readability of the scene at any screen resolution. - New FXs: the flashes are brighter and more colorful, the fire is more alive than ever, the entire post-processing has been enhanced. One example, among many, is the fog at the beginning of the second level. Unity handles these effects depending on your configuration automatically, so it is no longer present deactivation option. But we added the effect scanlines / 80s tv, which accentuates the warm colors and gives a nostalgic effect that as many of you we also love passionately. - New save feature: many have asked us for save points and we just could not ignore it. Cast Of The Seven Godsends is and wants to be a tribute to the arcade of the old school, meant to be played with something that is as close as possible to an arcade cabinet. So we decided on a compromise: in the pause menu you will find the "Save level" choice that will store the level in which you are playing. From the main menu, selecting Load, you can start playing from that level. They are not saved nor checkpoints reached neither the obtained power ups and weapons. This is a feature that helps you train on the level without having to start from scratch each time, until you are indeed able to overcome it. This choice has also been made to preserve the longevity of the game. For now, it seems to have it all! Let us know what you think and tell us any bugs and possible improvements in the appropriate sections of the hub, we will always be ready to listen. We hope this new version will be to your liking. Unleash your rage from the deepest of your heart again! Kudos, R.T.S.
