BASIC FEATURES
Knife: the fastest and weakest weapon, does little damage and requires accuracy on shooting. Goes straight, you can shot this weapon up to four times in a row.
Mace: makes an upward curve. Average speed and damage. Works beautifully with flying monsters or every enemy which needs to be hitted on the head. Up to three shots in a row.
Spinning blade: makes a circle around you, then goes straight. Useful when you're surrounded. Up to four shots in a row.
Sword: very short range, average speed, low fire rating, but maximum damage, and, most importantly, destroys the enemy bullets. Do not underestimate the power of this weapon.
Hammer: makes a downward curve. Good damage but average range and speed. Up to four shots in a row.
ADVANCED FEATURES are tied to the armor you're carrying on - we'll back on this later.
ABOUT ARMORS
The Fire Armor protects you from natural fire. That means you can pass through the flame rows in level 1 or the flames in level 3 without getting damage - although the armor doesn't protect you from enemy fire bullets, of course. This armor is also very powerful against ice monsters, but it takes more time to kill the fire monsters. Some weapons are able to catch enemies on fire, making them burning, causing them further damage.
The Ice Armor works in the same manner, it stops you from sliding on the ice and works terribly well against fire monsters, but it will take more time to kill the ice monsters. Most important of all, this armor can freeze enemies for a short time if you're equipped with knife.
The Plague Armor is slow but lethal like a plague. Lets you crawl quickly by pushing down-forward, that's useful to advance with less chances to be hitted frontally. This armor boasts some of the most powerful weapons of all, like the chasing bees or the demonic arm (which lets you run while shooting). This armor can also poison enemies, making them slow and unoffensive for a short time, and can make them bleeding, causing them further damage.
The Earth Armor is the most difficult one to use. It's the slowest but has the highest endurance. Its main feature is the vine: pushing up and jump at same time, you can throw a rope that grabs the nearest upper platform and lets you climb up. The rope can't hurt enemies and you can throw it only while you're lying on the ground. But it's incredibly useful in some sections, like in level 4, where you can use it to shortcut the path very quickly. This armors got also a parachute: if you press jump while falling, you will glide, that's useful for instance to attack enemies that are lying on the ground.
The Wind Armor is the fastest and less offensive armor, it's a good choice if you want to have a speedrun. You'll be able to fly (if you're carrying the mace) and you can use it to perform quick progress on your way. The armor also protects you from wind, so you won't be pushed back by the blizzard in level 3. If you got the spinning blade, try the hurricane spell, which will wipe out all the small foes and enemy bullets from the screen.
The Lightning Armor was designed to be very aggressive and it's fast and powerful like electricity. This armor will improve your jump. The electric bats will produce a spark that will chase enemies when they will hit one of them. The lightning dragon is very very effective. Indeed one of the best armors overall.
ABOUT ENEMIES
How to beat Red Taurus
Yes, he blocks everything (except some magic spells).
You basically have two ways to beat him:
- Hitting him while he's turning back
- Getting close to him and quickly moving backward when he raises the mace
Here's a video that shows you how to do it:

The Troll
This enemy acts exactly like the Megaman's one with shield and phaser. You can hit him only while he's throwing the rock. You have to find the right time to attack him and avoid the rock - he will die with few hits.
How to beat Mage
Level 1: if you get close to him, he will send you a lightning. So stay away and attack him from distance, or, if you got the sword, get close to him and prepare to run away quickly after your attack. After some hits, he will go in a sort of trance and will start to raise skeletons: this is the perfect moment to blast him. Watch out from skulls and lightnings he's throwing, and keep blasting him from the ground. Repeat the process until he dies. Remember: he cannot be poisoned.
How to beat Fangster (Level 1 Boss)
You must hit him in the head. That will be easier if you're carrying the mace, otherwise you can jump and shoot by the floating platforms. When he's going to charge you, just run to the left edge on the screen to avoid his attack, or alternatively you can jump him from the floating platforms while he's running forward to you, but be sure to climb down the platforms quickly after you jumped, otherwise he could hurt you while he's getting back. Remember: ice weapons are particularly effective against him.
How to beat Antirad (Level 2 Mid Boss)
This recurring character is really annoying. You will meet him for the first time in level 2, on the top of the mill in the swamp. This first fight is clearly inspired by Megaman's boss fights. Keep in mind that he will try to jump to avoid your shots, so the best way to fight him is to constantly run away and shooting him using every fraction of time you can find, making sure that he will clash in your bullets meanwhile he's chasing you. It's a good idea to climb on the statue then jump forward while shooting down, for example. If you have the sword, remember that you can block his bullets, and this makes a great difference because you will have enough time to attack him closely then run away.
In level 4 and 6 things will be more complicated. He will be faster and more lethal, but remember that the key to win rest the same: run away and ambush him.
How to beat Dragon Rider (Level 4 boss)
This is one of the hardest game bosses for sure. It will take a while to understand his patterns. Basically, he follows this schema:
- Throws 3 way fireballs
- Flies offscreen then charges
- Throws 3 way fireballs
- Spits big flame
And so on. When the fight begins, just stay on the left side and keep avoiding fireballs. When he's flying off to the left, run to the right side of the screen. The "back and charge" attack works like this: he takes note of your position, flies away, then he charges back to the position he took note before. So, when he's flying away, you have your time to move on and avoid his incoming attack. When he will miss you, you'll have precious seconds to BLAST him as much as you can. He then will start to spit fireballs again: jump on the cubes and go up away to avoid the fireballs, and keep avoiding him when he's spitting the big flame also. Meanwhile, keep shooting to him as much as you can. Repeat the process until he dies.
