The chainsaw-wielding cheerleader Juliet Starling returns in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP!
We would like again thank fans for the support and being patient with us, and to provide another update on the ongoing work on the Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, going over what has transpired since the previous status update, and sharing plans for the future.
Bug Fixes
Your feedback has been invaluable, and we are actively continuing to work towards addressing issues that have been reported.
Again, we would appreciate bug reports being sent to us at games_info@dragamigames.co.jp - If you can provide videos or other info on how or when the bug occurred as well, that would help expedite the fixes.
Regional Pricing
Regional pricing was implemented on October 12th for four regions, and we received feedback that some countries were unintentionally excluded from the price adjustments, or that the price adjustments were insufficient, and further implemented regional pricing for 27 more countries on October 22nd. Please refer to the October update for the full list of regions and countries.
Graphics and Performance Settings
Please be assured that we have heard your requests for more graphics options and are working towards them, and that the features added in v1.04 were simply a temporary fix. Adding the individual graphics options to the options menu requires a UI overhaul and translation work for the various languages the game is in, and may require more time to be implemented.
Steam Deck Support
We are proud to announced that the Steam Deck version of LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP has been certified: Give it a try!
New Costumes
The original version of the pin-up costume has been implemented in RePOP. We plan to constantly bring back more costumes from the original release, as well as add more new ones, so stay tuned!
Japanese Voice Acting
We have heard requests for the option to use the Japanese voice options with English subtitles. While it would have been easy to just add this as an option, as a matter of fact, some of the dialogue in the Japanese version is completely different from the English version. This is because some of the English dialogue would have been difficult for Japanese players to understand. As such, we have decided to implement accurate English subtitles for the Japanese dialogue, to keep it accurate to what is actually being said in Japanese. You might be surprised at the differences!
The Soundtracks
The soundtrack for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP was released on Steam on October 3rd!
Additionally, we heard you when you asked for the original tracks as well, and a separate soundtrack for the classic original tracks by Akira Yamaoka first heard in the 2012 release of Lollipop Chainsaw was released on Steam on November 7th!
Physical Releases
Regarding physical releases on console, here is information for the various regions:
・North America: Available from Limited Run Games (please direct inquiries about the NA physical release to them)
・Japan: Released September 25
・Europe: A license agreement has been made for a physical release, but we have not yet received any information from our partner regarding the schedule. We will let you know when a date is confirmed.
The game does have a language change option built in, meaning that if you purchase a Japanese physical version, the language can be changed to English (via Display on the main menu).
There are no differences in content between the various regions' releases: Only the packaging is different. As such, you can purchase any region's physical copy of the game and have an experience that is completely the same as if you had one from your own region.
Some Good News
Dragami Games' parent company revised its annual forecast upwards with a 52.1% net increase in profits thanks to Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP significantly exceeding its initial sales targets! This is all thanks to the support you gave us, and we are truly grateful.
Again, we would appreciate bug reports being sent to us at games_info@dragamigames.co.jp - If you can provide videos or other info on how or when the bug occurred as well, that would be very helpful.
