Hi everyone! I just wanted to share with you all my plans for the first content update for Lemon Cake! It will be a pretty large update so it’ll take me some time to create everything but my plan is to release it this spring! My goal with this update is first of all to address the current “grindy” feel of the game that some of you have shared with me. At the same time, I want to add a new, different gameplay element to add some variety to Lemon Cake. So I’ll be creating a new character… The health inspector! :D This new character will introduce new story elements and a minigame! When the bakery gets too dirty, you'll have to catch the ants roaming around the rooms. The health inspector will give you a gold reward based on how many bugs you can catch in a minute. This minigame will give a quick burst of gold which will help (especially in the early-mid game) progress faster in the skill trees. In addition to this, I’ll be adding a new room to the bakery! You’ll now have a bedroom in the attic above the kitchen. This new room will also have its own skill tree; however, this skill tree will not impact the bakery gameplay, which means that you won’t have to work toward these upgrades in the early game. Instead it’ll contain decorations, snacks and pets to furnish your bedroom. This skill tree will add new things to purchase once the bakery is fully restored for players who’d like to keep playing and unlocking new elements in the late game.
