In Torn Apart, you can play with up to 8 players, where one player is secretly chosen as the traitor. The traitor's mission is to get rid of the other players and sabotage the group's efforts to survive the zombie apocalypse. It's up to the rest of the group to work together!
Hi all!
Today we want to tell you a bit more about the development of Torn Apart and our vision for the prototype. From May 22nd, you will have the opportunity to download the free demo directly from our store page and play with up to eight players, accuse each other, defend against zombies, and just generally have a good time.

Our prototypes are created in two different ways. Our internal team of developers works on their own prototypes (more on that soon, we are currently in the process of figuring out which prototype to start with), and we also pick parallel studios that we know well, simply like or that deliver great games. In this case, all three checkboxes are ticked, because Monokel developed our idea for us.
The process of creating such a prototype is relatively simple, but it also involves a lot of effort: First, someone has an idea. In the beginning, this is usually a sentence or simply a very short description. In this case: "Does traitor gameplay work in first-person?"
And that's where the work on Torn Apart began.
The playtests were fun-filled, loud, and crazy evenings, during which Monokel's team, our team, and many friends and acquaintances thoroughly tested the gameplay. And let me tell you, even though our team is not known for consisting of the quietest and most reserved people anyway, this was on a whole new level: Accusations were constantly being made, and players were being thrown out of the camp (mostly innocent ones).

We are so excited to be able to show you Torn Apart soon because we ourselves had the all too familiar "One More Round" syndrome.
What is super important to us (and we won't get tired of mentioning it over and over again): We need your feedback on Torn Apart! At the end of the day, we would love to produce a full version of this prototype, but we can't do it without your feedback.
So please, message us on Discord, the Steam forum, or on social media and let us know what you think of Torn Apart when it launches!
