It's been a week, and I have been busy. I have the first regular patch, which addresses many issues. A lot of improvements have been made and bugs addressed. I've gotten some good feedback and hope that this Update reflects that. I haven't addressed everything I want to based on the feedback I've gotten, but I hope you'll agree, there are some big improvements! Read the change log below to see the biggest changes this week-
-Major HUD changes. Compare the first and second screenshot to see the update.
-HUD Buttons have been Updated to match the style of the Game. The Buttons should be easier to read and just plain look better.
-The HUD background Opacity was too transparent, making it hard to read text sometimes. An Option has been added that allows you to choose your own level of transparency any time.
-The 'Wave:', 'Gold:' and Gold 'Income' Information Text (Largest Text) has been made smaller and the HUD background behind these things has been shifted to account for the smaller size, giving the Player more screenspace.
-The Tower Target Priority buttons were very large, also taking up a lot of screen-space. They are much smaller, giving you a better view of the Level when a Tower is selected.
-Options settings were not loading as intended in many situations, giving the appearance that it wasn't remembering your settings between games and Options were acting strange in general. It was referencing the wrong file type when checking to see if a certain file existed when re-starting the Game, loading a Level and starting a new Game. Now in all these cases, the Game will remember the Options settings and should operate as expected.
-Added preview to the Farm Land Build Area and added a Build effect to the Farm Land. This should fix a few different small problems with Building Farms and assist in planning your Base. It also disallows building on future Farm land that is in the Build Process.
-Converting the Archer Tower to the Ballista Tower causes the Tower to be Destroyed. This was a minor code flaw and has been fixed, you can convert an Archer into a Ballista without any problems now.
-The Tutorial has been Edited to help better explain itself and the Game. (I am currently working on a much better Tutorial to replace this one)
-After level 20 the last few creeps per Wave will catch on fire. This is to temporarily address a small problem with the AI finding the HQ in certain circumstances during the late Game. In the future I will be doing some work on the AI which will address this and make it a little bit smarter.
-When selecting the Blaster or Laser Towers they both had the wrong label, although the other information about each Tower was correct. This has been fixed.
-Disabled the ability to Save on the empty Loading Level. (Game would crash when loading a Save performed here)
-When exiting from the Main screen, if you clicked on the 'Exit Game' Button more than once it would create multiple Yes/No Buttons. No more!
-In the Archer Description when Selected it said the Archer can miss, this is an error that has been fixed- the Archer, Fire Archer and Crossbow never miss, though the Ballista can.
-Many other minor bugs/improvements have been made as well.
