On the moon Europa, a lush terraformed paradise in Jupiter’s shadow, an android named Zee sets out in search of answers. Run, glide and fly across the landscape, solve mysteries in the ruins of a fallen utopia, and discover the story of the last human alive.
Hi folks,
I'm Helder, and I'm here today to tell you a little about a game I've been chipping away at for 5 years now, called Europa!
Europa started back in 2017 very much as a passion project for me, and I've been working away on it ever since during my evenings and weekends (I have a day job working at Blizzard). It's a real labour of love for me, and it feels so exciting to be officially sharing it with the world, with my first proper trailer, a shiny new Steam page and all the stuff you need when you're making a "real" game! In case you've not seen it yet, here's the trailer:

After so long solo, I've started bringing in some friends of mine to help bring everything to life in the best way possible, and it feels so nice having such a great team all working together now. Alex helping with programming, Brian on the cinematics, Craig on animations and the gang at Future Friends Games (who published Exo One and Omno - both games I LOVE) helping with publishing and the story!
We're full throttle now on making the game "feature complete" in the next couple of months, then from there it's all about polishing, refining and bringing the world to life with critters, flora and all those little touches that will hopefully make the game feel like something special!
I'll be posting pretty regularly on here about a bunch of different things over the months to come, leading up to launch which we're planning for later next year. Hopefully you'll join us for the ride!
Cheers,
-Helder
(PS. if you haven't already, please drop the game a Wishlist - it really makes the world of difference for tiny indies trying to make a splash amidst all the amazing games coming to Steam every day!)
