End of Year Update and Publisher News!

As we head into the new year, I just wanted to share a quick update on LIVING HELL and what’s coming up in 2026. First off, thanks so much to everyone who’s wishlisted the game or shared kind words since the announcement in September. Announcing a new game is always nerve-wracking but the reaction to the trailer and the idea behind LIVING HELL has been genuinely brilliant, and we already have over 40,000 Wishlists, so thank you! It’s easy to second-guess yourself when you’re deep in development, but seeing people excited about the game gave me a massive lift. I really do think this will be my best horror game yet. I’m happy to say that development has been going extremely well since the announcement. There’s still a way to go, but I’ve been making very good progress and working on a lot of small details I’m really proud of and can’t wait to show you. Now for a bit of news I’ve been looking forward to sharing: I’ve decided to team up with a publisher! We handled all the marketing for DEVOUR ourselves, which was great, but this time around, I wanted to focus fully on the game itself and find a team that could help with the rest. The publisher I’ve partnered with is called Future Friends Games. They’re a smaller team, but they genuinely care about indie games and play them themselves, which was really important to me. They’ve published great games like CloverPit and The Cabin Factory, and also helped on games like Vampire Survivors and Sledding Game that had strong multiplayer modes. I think they get what LIVING HELL is going for, and I’m excited to have them on board. With their support, I should be able to share more regular updates throughout next year, including behind-the-scenes content, development updates, and eventually opportunities to playtest and provide feedback on early builds. If that’s something you’re into, keep an eye out for upcoming Steam news posts! That’s it from me for now. Thanks again for being here. Wishing you all a great holiday, a good start to the new year, and I can’t wait to share more with you soon. Joe
