Hello everyone,
Welcome back to the third devlog for 'Rise From the Ashes: A Fantasy World Simulator'!
Summer has been quite productive for us, and luckily, we're managing to work efficiently despite the heat. July has allowed us to make progress on various aspects of the game, with a focus on the style editor and terrain improvements.
Speaking of terrain improvements, we've dedicated efforts to enhance the appearance of ice, and we're quite satisfied with the results. Additionally, we've fine-tuned numerous aspects to ensure an optimal gaming experience. It's crucial to address these aspects now before diving into other tasks.

The style editor is a pivotal component of the game, as it not only significantly influences the construction system but also aligns with the core vision of the game: enabling players to craft their own fantastical civilizations.
Over the past month, we've made substantial headway in this area. Alongside the editor's functionalities, we've seamlessly integrated with Steam Workshop. The good news is, you can now publish architectural styles you create in the editor directly to Steam Workshop from within the game. You also have the flexibility to unsubscribe from other players' styles or update published styles, all through a user-friendly interface. This feature required considerable effort, but it's now ready!

A brief note on the style editor: We've mentioned it in previous updates without showcasing screenshots. Currently, we believe it's premature to reveal screenshots of the style editor until we're ready to elaborate on the construction system itself. Sharing editor screenshots now might jump the gun a bit. Once we're prepared to discuss the in-game construction system (building placement, construction tools, etc.), we'll also delve into the style editor that lets you define your architectural style.
That wraps up this devlog. We'll be back in September with another update!
Have a great summer and see you soon!
