Development Update #02

Bells 'n' Whistles

Bells 'n' Whistles is a difficult point-and-click game that tests your ability to multitask. You must deal with the multiple systems on a machine in order to prevent it from breaking down. Are you up to the task?

Hello all, and thank you for reading this Development Update. I have good news! The code rewrite has been completed, and a tutorial mode has been added, as well as a bunch of other fixes to make the game a bit more user friendly. This means that all of the framework is finally in place to start creating some levels! I will be working on levels for the game essentially for the rest of the time until the game releases into early access. However, progress for the next few weeks may be a bit slow. As you are probably aware, the spread of the Coronavirus has left many people, including myself, in a state of self-quarantine. While at first I saw this as a great opportunity to make lots of progress on Bells 'n' Whistles, after working on the game for many hours during the first few days of quarantine, I was struck with major burnout. So, I have decided to take a few days in order to brainstorm ideas for levels and relax until I feel ready to work more on the game. Also, I would like to take a quick moment to thank everyone who has shown even the slightest bit of interest in my game. It always puts a smile on my face to see the number of wishlist adds go up by one more. I will post the next update once I have finished creating the first few levels. Until then, have fun, stay safe, and wash you hands! - Tommy Galletta, Director of Art, Programming, Design, and literally everything else for Bells 'n' Whistles
