Development Status Update #4 - Police Equipment

Riot Operator

The Riot Police need great operators like you. Protect the peace in real places and manifestations. Your ability, perception, and skills will be tested. Control the Uncontrollable!
Greetings, Operators!
We have shown you the barriers last month, and now it's time to take a closer look at the full range of equipment that is available to the police units! While medics and firefighters don't have as many tools at their disposal, it's always good to analyze your current needs, when it comes to the police. Are there any aggressive rioters? Do you have to close the movement for certain streets? Prepare for your job accordingly and your duty will get way easier.
Police Equipment
You can equip your units with the following equipment:

Barriers - to stop the movement in certain areas,
Plastic handcuffs - very useful when dealing with aggressive rioters. Arresting agitators will help you with controlling the crowds. Mind you, arresting too many rioters will result in a negative reputation!
Police batons - increases the offensive capability of the unit. Ordering the units to fight with batons will cause casualties on both sides. Always have your medics close if it seems like you won't be able to avoid the confrontation.
Shields - increases the defensive capability of the unit. Holding your ground is not an easy job. You can expect some of the rioters to throw nearby objects at you. Large police shields will help with ensuring that the damage on your side will be kept at a minimum.
Tear Gas - allows you to disperse huge aggressive crowds that are not willing to move. Mind you, hurting peaceful protesters with tear gas will also result in a negative reputation.
As you can see, the equipment is varied and has to be used mindfully. You have to be as efficient, as possible, while causing the least possible damage. Becoming too aggressive will result in drops in reputation. While you can make some mistakes, remember that a negative reputation means you are going to lose the mission.
How do they work
Let's take a quick look at the current visualization of two mechanics, that are related to the equipment mentioned above - arresting with plastic handcuffs and dispersing the crowd with tear gas.
