Hello everyone, After revealing a look at the gameplay for Nobody Wants to Die, we have been overwhelmed with the response and support we have received. As a small team from Wrocław, Poland, we could never have expected such a huge response. With one month until you enter this world, we invite you to take a look into the creation process and explore the world of Nobody Wants to Die – beginning with some early concept art and insight into the story we have weaved. Nobody Wants to Die is an interactive noir story set in a dystopian New York City, where you’ll play as Detective James Karra investigating crime scenes to uncover the mysteries of the city’s elite. We wanted to create a thought-provoking narrative for players by only making only one metaphysical change to the current world we live in – the possibility of consciousness transfer. This change alone changes everything. It pulls into question our current values, way of thinking, way of living, and the rules of Western civilization – in such a way that perfectly creates a dark vision of the future. We hope to inspire players to think about contemporary values, the rules of the world, and what is important in life – there are even some in-game choices and conflicts connected to that for players to tackle with. You watch the neon signs and billboards flicker and illuminate an otherwise dark city. New York is one of the hearts of contemporary utilisation. We wanted Nobody Wants to Die to say something about the contemporary culture of the Western world, making New York City the prime location for the narrative to unfold. Our futuristic vision was a huge metropolis that would spread and grow in every direction.
James Karra’s Apartment
You arrive back at your apartment – it's not much, but it’s a place to think. You realise you left a window cracked as you hear the faint whir of traffic outside. The city that never sleeps, makes damn sure that you won’t either as the apartment glows under the city’s harsh neon signs. James, a 120-year-old jaded cop, and Sara, fresh to the force in her late 20s, are our two protagonists in this narrative. They contrast each other with different motivations and goals becoming apparent throughout the narrative. By playing as James, you’ll get to know your investigation partner Sara to be an especially multifaceted character with secrets and motivations of her own that you’ll unravel as you move through your investigation. We are excited to share more about the game as we approach July 17 and look forward to welcoming you to New York, 2329 soon. - Critical Hit Games Follow our channels to stay up to date:
Website Twitter/X Instagram Facebook YouTube
