We've been through a lot of iterations for the management phase of the game, and I think we've finally picked the right concept. We picked a node-based approach, and a lot of rogue-lites tend to use something similar. But at the same time, we couldn't resist putting our spin on the system. In the case of Lords of Ravage, each node except combat ones takes the form of an event, offering you up to three choices. Each event has a baseline option that usually grants you a small reward with no strings attached. Other options may alter the reward or increase it with additional expenses. Some options are rare and do not always spawn, but they offer increased rewards. You'll be free to visit every node you want, but with each node, enemies will become slightly stronger. But at what point is it no longer worth it? Overall, you'll have opportunities to improve your Leader, units, relics, and edicts and gain resources during these events. But we're going to talk in more detail about these next time.
