In our last update, we looked at some of the locations you’ll be travelling to during your adventure. As you pursue the wicked Pirate Witch, [b]Flora Burn[/b], you’ll need to work your way through the hordes of enemies she has left in her wake! By transforming everyone onboard the [b]HMS Barfleur[/b] into rats, Flora was able to kidnap [b]Admiral Blacksmith’s son [/b]and make her escape to the Irish shore! To ward off any would-be pursuers, Flora has corrupted much of the native plant and animal life, creating malformed and dangerous creatures… [h3]Giant. Enemy. Crab. [/h3] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39297607/ddae8faa50d3d40aac0fa71a6f36a752a4205cea.gif[/img] Before you’ve even managed to step off [b]Shipwreck Beach[/b] you’ll come face to claw with [b]Armoured Crabs[/b]. These enemies come in several shapes and sizes but the ones to look out for are the larger, tougher, ones. With hard shells and sharp pincers, the crabs will make short work of anyone that gets too close; however, a [b]well-timed parry[/b] will stun the killer crustacean allowing you to strike its softer underbelly. [h3]A Sticky Situation… [/h3] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39297607/d55d005d1b6c9652597de96a6d1239b1967bed7e.gif[/img] Venturing further inland you’ll eventually climb to the heights of [b]Eriu’s Forest[/b]. This lush woodland may seem peaceful at first, but it is filled with vicious insects and plants ready to strike. Hidden among the branches are the large [b]Caterpillars[/b], gargantuan bugs that can [b]birth smaller offspring[/b] to attack intruders. Be careful not to get webbed in the [b]Caterpillar’s sticky silk[/b] or risk being swarmed. [h3]To the bat cave! [/h3] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39297607/d111f308aa33599705e616eaf199423ef1ebbc5b.gif[/img] If the forests are too much, try delving down into the deep caves of the [b]Flying Rat’s Hole[/b]. As the name suggests, the caverns are brimming with [b]Giant Bats[/b] ready to swoop in on unsuspecting victims. Don’t rely on the cave walls to protect you as the bats can manoeuvre their way through obstacles before unleashing a [b]lightning-fast dive bomb[/b]! [h3]Precarious heights [/h3] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39297607/3c092e3da90a3435e4d281bfc5e6982adb41b2e2.gif[/img] Make it out of the caves alive and you may find yourself clinging to the [b]Cliff of the Winds[/b]. The harsh winds and narrow platforms are made even more treacherous by the [b]mischievous Puffins[/b]. Despite their adorable appearance, these puffins will take any chance they can get to [b]knock you off a ledge[/b] onto the rocky shore below. [h3]Hard shells[/h3] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39297607/797aa8ba39be343d4d563634d2c43549f7ae4ffd.gif[/img] Below the gorgeous orange canopy of [b]Banba’s Forest[/b] lurk some incredibly tough [b]Giant Beetles[/b] that can be difficult obstacles to overcome. Their hard exoskeletons render them [b]impervious to most attacks[/b]. You’ll either need to whip around to their rear or [b]execute a timely parry[/b] when they come rolling towards you. [h3]Grave of the fireflies [/h3] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39297607/534b14f9067d1f5233150e15f4e87460170aeecd.gif[/img] Somewhere just below the surface of the Irish Coast lies the [b]Moonlight Lough[/b], a beautifully colourful cave system filled with dew-covered grass and flowing rivulets. Don’t get distracted by the enchanting view or you may fall victim to the [b]explosive Fireflies[/b] that lurk in the shadows. Tread carefully as the deceptively glowing bugs can seemingly [b]vanish without a trace[/b], one wrong move and you’ll face a [b]mighty explosion[/b] that may even trigger a chain reaction.
