[img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37905959/35cc73565f511c71928527ba08284a7a336f145c.png[/img] Now to the other changes: [u]Game[/u] [b]REWORKED [/b]Ascension wave spawns. They will now be much more consistent. So fewer easy waves, and fewer crazy hard waves. [b]NEW [/b]puzzle levels! These are optional and unlocked after beating the game. Some of these will prove very tricky and require clever use of different card mechanics. [b]FIXED [/b]long card tooltips spilling off the top of the screen. [b]FIXED [/b]soft locks that could be caused by using consumable cards with Reprogram. [b]FIXED [/b]stars not updating when unlocking new decks on level select. [u]Cards[/u] [b]NEW [/b]effect flag: CHAINED [i]This is something that applies to TRIGGER effects and has always been in the game, but now I'm just clarifying it on each card rather than having people guess. TRIGGERS normally resolve in a new chain, but some TRIGGER effects chain directly to the effect that "triggered" them. This difference will now be written on the cards in the form of the CHAINED flag. The difference usually doesn't matter, but sometimes it does :D[/i] [b]NEW [/b]card: Taser [b]NEW [/b]card: Ambush [b]NEW [/b]card: Rupture [i]These new generic cards are here to replace ClawTrap and Shatter in the white rarity tier. Read the next few lines to see why.[/i] [b]NERF [/b]ClawTrap. Rarity white -> green. [b]NERF [/b]Shatter. Rarity white -> green. [i]Shatter and ClawTrap are old cards, made before there were many other cards to compare them to. Now that there are other cards, the power they provide is way out of line for common cards. Their effects are cool though, so just moving them up to a rarity tier that better reflects their power.[/i] [b]BUFF [/b]Afterburner. Rarity blue -> white. [b]NERF [/b]Potentia. Max attack buff now 5. [i]Plz stop stacking attack buffs T.T The bosses get so sad when they don't get to play ; ;[/i] [b]FIX [/b]Valeria. Can now select 0 cards for her effect even if there is only 1 spell in the deck. [b]FIX [/b]Valeria. Level 2 -> 3 [b]FIX [/b]Camilla. Had issues with infinite loops with cards like Unity. Should no longer happen. [b]NERF [/b]Ishida+. Health 6 -> 4. [b]NERF [/b]Chiyo+. Health 5 -> 3. [b]FIX [/b]Saigo card text. Properly specifies it copies the "original" effect. [b]FIX [/b]Violette. The details are complicated, but basically, the card should work more consistently now :) [b]FIX [/b]Miki. Now shuffles deck after searching. [b]FIX [/b]Spear blood. Does not need to be ONCE and UNIQUE. Just ONCE is fine since ONCE implies UNIQUE. [b]ADJUST [/b]Greed algo. Now gives you an extra card on turn draw and mills two cards from your deck. Still take damage if there are no cards in the deck. [i]Algo cards in storage are supposed to be kinda awkward to play, but Greed's old storage effect was way too awkward compared to the other algos, this change is trying to bring it more in line.[/i] [b]UPDATE [/b]Serenity image. Yay pretty! [b]ADJUST [/b]Serenity. Now uses its own special counters rather than generic counters. [i]The new CrossCode deck has LOTS of ways to manipulate counters and move them onto Serenity. This is busted. Serenity no longer interacts with normal counters :)[/i] [b]UPDATE [/b]Encore image. Yay pretty! [b]ADJUST [/b]Paradox. Delay is no longer a SUSPEND. Delay duration 3->6. Cost increased 5 -> 7. [i]Suspensions are broken, especially since Omega has so many instant effects and can charge the special so quickly. The longer delay should prove more powerful in the wholesome use cases <3[/i] [u]Enemy[/u] [b]ADJUST [/b]Daggers. Now starts at 1 atk and increases up to 3 for every card played. [i]Daggers is THE defining card of ascensions. While they have a lot of counter play, it also feels terrible to be locked down by two of these things. This change should hopefully open up more options for counter play without taking away too much from the power of the enemy.[/i] [b]FIX [/b]Miasma. Now properly highlights targets. [b]REMOVED [/b]MirrorShard from Ascension waves. [b]FIX [/b]Decima card text. Now properly words "equal to or greater than" condition. [b]ADJUST [/b]BitCache. No longer can give red cards. [i]Restarting a level to look for a red is not super fun. The red cards are not supposed to be required for any deck to win and should just be a cool random thing that sometimes happens but cannot be explicitly planned around.[/i] [b]FIX [/b]Zirus defense effect. Will work more consistently with multi hits. [u]Level[/u] Dragoon's Comet level now has Zlime as the second boss rather than Zeaper. [i]Just trying to smooth out comet runs and make them a bit shorter. The multiple bosses is important, because it creates stakes in terms of time investment, which encourages thoughtful play rather than attrition. Yes, it feels terrible to lose an hour long run and have nothing to show, I feel that too. But levels like the comet push the game to where I think it shines the brightest, when every action matters, and you find a way to make any cards you get work and discover new interactions. That said, I love compromising, so getting rid of Zeaper's one-shot from the comet should make things more kind <3[/i] [u]Story[/u] Very small update to the Omega boss fight text. Very small change in Omega's postgame scene. Queen generally should not refer to Omega as "Omega," but rather his real name, "Kyril." Consider stopping by the Discord!
