In the past, the game would attempt to force the spawn of Elder Relics matching archetypes found in your deck. Now, all relics have individual modifiers to appearance rate to allow for more variety while still ensuring the player is shown options relevant to their deck. As an example, Admiral Brass is no longer essentially guaranteed to be offered Redwing Flag (though the chance is still very high), and the chance he is offered other Pirate synergy relics like Cursed Pearl is dramatically higher (though not as high as his signature relic Redwing Flag). This applies to Elder Relics and normal Relics, with some relics with very specific conditions like the Sandwich Relic having significantly boosted odds when you meet their condition.[/i]
