Clean up and brief roadmap

One Last Day

Hey! This announcement is a bit boring but necessary. Just to sum up the most important parts of this post: [list] [*] [b]When the "Stage 1 - Foundations" is done the update will be published replacing the current version of One Last Day[/b] [*] [b]The new version will be quite different of what's published today[/b] [*] [b]So, to avoid confussion when the new version comes out beware that some posts and community content might be removed, but there will be a backup[/b] [/list] [h1]Brief roadmap[/h1] This time there's a full design and a roadmap. The development of One Last Day has been splitted into these 3 stages very briefly explained. [list] [*] Stage 1 - Foundations This stage is about to be finished. It is really important to have a good base or foundation to build the rest of the content, otherwise it might happen the same that happenned before, content was cut. [*] Stage 2 - Polish and first content round In this one some new core features will be added an polished. The first content round is about adding more weapons, items, buildings, etc... [*] Stage 3 - Second content round This one is about adding more depth to the features and even more content. Some other features might be added but they will be just to add more spice to the gameplay. [/list] [b]When the "Stage 1 - Foundations" is done the update will be published replacing the current version of One Last Day[/b], but before that a experimental branch will be created for everyone willing to test the version before its released. This might happen any moment now, as there are only a couple core features to be finished. That said, I can't really wait to show you the current state of the game! The "foundations" stage might sound boring but there are already really cool features that I always wanted to add to the game, for example you can finally swim and dive! Also the game is still voxel style, but less blocky and more stylized. [h1]Clean up[/h1] This is something that you may have noted already. I started to clean up forums and older posts to avoid confussion when the new version of the game comes out, as it will be quite different of what's published already. Everything will be saved and eventually moved to my own website for you to check it as a archive if you want, [b]but beware that some posts and community content might be also removed, again, to avoid confussion when the new version comes out[/b]. [h1]Show off[/h1] As I stated in some posts and comments, I've been waiting to have something quite solid, closer to the final look of the game to start posting images and videos, and that moment is almost here. Some assets are still placeholders as I've been focusing in programming. When each of the core feature from foundations is finished and tested I'll make a post explaining it how it works with some images. Some of them are already finished and tested so these posts are coming soon. But fine!, here you have the screenshot from the banner. It's in a random spot of the map in the forest biome at sunset.
