City building games come in so many flavors that it can be hard to pick just one. Cities Skylines puts you in charge of a modern metropolis, Manor Lords transports you back to the medieval age, and Frostpunk sends you to a cold, apocalyptic future. These might be some of the best games the genre has to offer, but Anno 1800 stands tall above the rest.
