Hello fellow video game kids! We are Rock Pocket Games - a small indie developer in Tonsberg, Norway. For the last couple of years we have been making the Metroidvania known as Somber Echoes. A few weeks ago we officially revealed the game and thought it would be cool to provide a small peak behind the curtain of the process. Somber Echoes takes place on Atromitos - a vast Greco-Roman space vessel in a distant future. A mysterious cataclysm onboard has tainted the once proud spaceship, which is something we are trying to tell in the environments. Stories of “what if the Roman empire survived thousands of years”. These shots are just small glimpses of what will be in the game and are work in progress, so will surely change during the development. Hopefully this small peak conveys some of what we are trying to create.
