Hello everyone! Sorry for the radio silence, we've been busy working on future projects and expanding the Ashes universe! We wanted to announce that Ashes of Kanaka is in an AMAZING indie bundle! For all of our new users from this bundle, Please let us know in the discussions if you have any comments of questions, we still actively work on improving Ashes and are trying to find what improvements we can make within the engine we were working with. It would mean the world to us if you could write a review for Ashes of Kanaka, the more reviews we have the more likely we are to show up to new players and it is more likely for us to get into future bundles as well! Since Ashes came out, we have been actively trying to find ways to expand upon what we have already created, however we have hit the max limit for what can go into an RPGMaker project. While it is great that we pushed the engine to its limits, it makes it very difficult for us to add new content. We have two options we are currently working on to combat this. First of all, we have a spin off title, Static, that is coming out early next year (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cp0R1cYwpgE&t=3s) Static is a psychological thriller that is a prequel to the events of the main game. We hope to have more to share on this with an independent Steam page soon~ We also have long discussed remaking Ashes of Kanaka in a more powerful engine, such as Unreal 4. This would be a massive undertaking as those of you that have played can see how large the game was as a 2D JRPG. Translating that into 3D, meeting the quality standards we strive for, and including everything we wanted in the base game, will take a long time. However, want to make a point that it is happening, we are working on it, and we want to hear from you, what would you like to see in a 3D remake of Ashes? We have a few ideas that would improve quality of life, and it would include a large amount of new content that we think will really improve the game. Until we have more to show, we will still be here on the Ashes of Kanaka page, and will share more as soon as we have it!
