The upcoming anniversary is a great opportunity to look back at how the project has changed since the original idea, as well as outline its future direction and some planned changes. First off, let's talk about what the game world will look like in the next updates. Several graphical enhancements are planned to make the game look even better. These changes will happen gradually, just like before. For instance, the models for crops were recently updated, and upcoming updates will include improvements to the graphic quality of ores and blades. Please note that these elements are subject to change in the future. The cave is also getting a makeover. Instead of a few scattered ore deposits, the entire cave will be filled with ores, rocks and soil that the player will have to dig up. A mine as an additional location will be introduced which the player will be able to explore, mining resources as well as find valuable gems and crystals. Additionally, the playable map area will be expanded to offer greater environmental diversity and a larger world for players to explore. Now a bit about the initial idea and how the original concept of the game has evolved. At first, the scope of the game was supposed to be pretty small with simple graphics and gameplay focused on a few closed locations, like a workshop, store, mine and maybe a few other fully enclosed spaces. Players would move between these spots using a map (menu) and spend most of their time in the workshop making goods and dealing with customers. However, after finalizing the prototype and creating the game's Steam store page, which featured this simple, closed-location, time-based gameplay, the vision was expanded slightly. An adjacent area to the workshop was added, creating a semi-open world while maintaining the original gameplay mechanics. As development went on, the vision shifted towards a fully open world with a day-night cycle and enhanced visuals. This presented challenges in content creation and optimization but also enabled the game to be enriched with more environmental diversity and content. The project continues to grow and evolve, promising an even more immersive experience for players.
