Aphelion offers players a wide verity of ships and equipment. These technologies can be accessed through the technology research trees, available at pilot's home base carrier. Each technology has it's requirements that must be met prior it becoming available, and each technology will require resources to develop. Additional improvements can be made to ship's structure, boosting armor hit points or a shield generator to improve the amount of damage it can take. More advanced technologies, allow for self sustaining armor and shield upgrades. These technologies will slowly repair the damaged armor on a ship, or enhance the shield regeneration rate.
