GENRE AND REFERENCES

The game is a turn-based roguelite RPG that implements a system based on the classic and popular series of Japanese turn-based RPG games, Shin Megami Tensei, which allows you to recruit enemies as allies to make up your team and face increasingly difficult battles as you progress.

KEY FEATURES

Monster Taming System: Inspired by Shin Megami Tensei, the player is able to capture creatures through gameplay and add them to their party to fight alongside the player character.

Monster Fusion System: The player will be able to fuse creatures to create a new one that inherits skills from the ones used to make them. Though employing a roguelike-oriented model, in this version the player is offered three options from which to pick rather than a single result.

Positional Turn-based Combat: Characters occupy specific positions on a 2x2 grid on their side of the combat area, with the player character occupying a position in the middle. They can move between them, switching positions with their allies. Skills both require the user and the target to be in specific positions to be used.

Run-based Roguelike Exploration with a Day/Night Cycle: The game will have three Areas to explore with maps semi randomized generated with connected different event nodes. As the player explores the map, time passes on every move to another node. During the Night, events and exploration become more difficult but the rewards improve accordingly.

Settlement Management: The player has a Hub with upgradable buildings that offer services attached to the meta-progression systems of the game giving the player upgrades and new skills for new runs. The most important buildings are also where the player can interact with characters they meet that join the settlement as the game and history progresses.
