Shadow of Ancients is a 3D, Narrative-Adventure game with a stylized and colorful world. You can explore this new world with our main character Aiden, learn its secrets and decide how the world will continue with unique but familiar game mechanics.
Shadow of Ancients is a single-player, story-driven action RPG set in a stylized and colorful world where the elder ones vanished. You play as Aiden, a young adventurer who unknowingly carries a reincarnating Tuyuk (An Ancient demon) within him. As the player, you will experience his adventures, which are powerful, unpredictable, and not always in your control.
Act I slice: Early quests, exploration, and combat encounters
Real-time combat: with dodges, skills, and light/heavy attacks
Demon Mode with Boss fights: Aiden’s power can possess him and you briefly lose control and have to play the enemies.
Gather & craft: pick herbs and materials to brew survival potions
A stylized, nature-heavy world: A world you can wander around in forest paths, ruins, and underground caves

Story First But... : This game is about Aiden's journey, but you, the Player, will decide and change his path and relations with the people, choices and what's lying beyond...
Enjoyable and engaging combat: Improved fight mechanics with leveling and skill sets.
Improved UI: Improved look and feel throughout the whole UI/UX
Exploration with purpose: Even more meaningful, side quests, parkour, puzzles and chases.
Collect, brew, survive: flora/fauna items feed a simple, useful crafting loop
Clean, cel-shaded look: We'll keep our look inspired by modern stylized RPGs

We’re releasing this early slice to learn from you. There’s plenty to improve, balance, UI, onboarding, performance... and that’s the point. We can see some of them, but we need a fresh perspective from your view!
What confused you?
What did you feel in combat? What would you want to feel?
Which quests or areas pulled you in or didn’t?
Use the Steam Discussions or any in-game/launcher feedback link we (hopefully) provide. Write us from our Reddit or Linkedin, wherever you can contact us, we'll be happy to receive your feedback! Bug reports, wish-list ideas, “I expected this but that happened” all of it helps shape the full release.
Expect tuning and content gaps in the demo (placeholder UI/text, performance spikes on some rigs).
We’ll iterate based on your feedback and share changes in the update posts.
Thanks for playing our first public demo. If you like where it’s headed, Wishlist & Follow—it genuinely helps a small team like ours. We check our wishlists almost daily and you encourage us to do so!
