Northern Ireland '74

The first strategy game to capture the essence of the entire Northern Ireland Conflict (1966 - 1998).

The Troubles were an ethno-nationalist conflict in Northern Ireland that lasted for about 30 years from the late 1960s to 1998. Also known internationally as the Northern Ireland conflict, it is sometimes described as an "irregular war" or "low-level war". The conflict began in the late 1960s and is usually deemed to have ended with the Good Friday Agreement of 1998. Although the Troubles mostly took place in Northern Ireland, at times violence spilled over into parts of the Republic of Ireland, England, and mainland Europe.

As the British Armed Forces deployed into Northern Ireland, you will need to win the Hearts and Minds of the local population and balance the aspirations of both the Loyalists and the Nationalists.

Both the IRA and the UVF need to be contained, preventing the insurgency from destabilizing the region.

The Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) need to be deployed effectively and fairly to keep the two factions apart as a political solution is sought.
