Magnet Jack is a challenging action-oriented puzzle-platformer. It has a fast-changing assortment of wacky mechanics and a top-down overworld with off-the-wall themes and characters. Alright!
Jack was just a regular guy working at a video store when ONE NIGHT
he stayed up too late playing VIDEOGAMES and fell asleep on the job!
An old man came in asking for MILK CHOCOLATES...
"What?! Sleeping on the job?! I'll teach you a lesson!"
The old man was actually a CYBER-WARLOCK!!
"I hereby banish you to AN ABSTRACT DIMENSION!!
Where you will be cursed to live as a videogame protagonist!!
BYAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!"
...little did the warlock know... this is EXACTLY what Jack wanted!
Some time later Jack was living his best life as a videogame character. Then the King of Taxes raised everyone's taxes through the roof!
He simply will not stand for this, so he's going to punch that nasty old king right on the nose, but pesky pocket dimensions full of puzzles keep getting in the way! (Little did the King of Taxes know, this is exactly what Jack wanted.)
The overworld is similar to good old Super Italian Siblings 3. YOU KNOW THE ONE.
Clear stages to unlock paths. Invade character houses, ride a boat, fight bosses, hunt for secrets.
A large variety of mechanics, like MARIO.
Action-oriented puzzles, like WARIO.
The quick retry of MEATBOY.
Has about 180 stages.
