Everybody's Stranger

Heroic adventure awaits in... some other game. In this one, you run an inn, kind of against your will. Cook, farm, craft, and decorate to attract bards, rogues, and other persnickety malcontents, each with their own strange tale. After all, they’re the heroes – you’re just their innkeeper.

The characters you meet and interact with differ based on how you decorate your inn:
  • Turn your inn into a veritable garden, and you'll attract plant-loving druids.
  • Fill your tavern with music, and the realm’s finest bards will soon be clamoring to perform on your stage.
Each oddball you meet has their own, unique storyline that weaves into the ever-changing plot. All NPCs are fully voice-acted by "professionals" with a focus on humor and tales that will make even the stoutest of folks tear up. Your decisions matter and will dramatically affect the outcome of their stories. Plus, you'll be able to date and develop a relationship with almost every character in the game.

  • Plant all sorts of vegetables and turn them into a bevy of seasonal dishes for the guests in your inn.
  • Decorate your inn to attract different types of heroes (or villains) and learn their food likes and dislikes.
  • Smith weapons, armor, jewelry; tailor clothing; build furniture and upgrade your inn.

Strap on your monocle (once you get it) and explore the world from the flip side. Encounter lost souls, relics to attract new NPCs to the inn, and a whole mess of secrets to help you uncover where you're from and how you ended up running an inn in a desolate swamp with a bunch of wackos stopping in at every hour of the day.

Key Features:

  • Rich stories for remarkable NPCs driven by your unique interactions with them
  • Extensive system for tracking what your inn's guests value, to repel or attract precisely the right clientele depending on your preference for good or evil (or somewhere in between)
  • Hundreds of accurate (though simplified) recipes to cook and serve to the various guests that come to your inn
  • A sweeping story rooted in the mystery of finding out who you are, where you’re from, and how you fit into the strange new world you’ve found yourself
  • Fishing system where you catch fish to the beats of metal, pop, bluegrass, and other genres of music in a rhythm-based mini-game
  • Completely original score composed by Joel Steudler, with unique tracks for each area, different times of day, and themes for many of the characters you’ll meet
  • Robust quest system with far too many side quests, different ways to complete them, and multiple endings depending on which paths you choose
  • Chopping, mining, planting, growing, harvesting, tailoring, blacksmithing, silversmithing, and more, all to suit your crafting temptations

Bonus Features:

  • Chickens equipped with advanced evasion capacity
  • Virtual swamp eel stew, with accurately simulated gastrointestinal response
  • Naked mole rat awareness outreach indoctrination
  • Gnomes
  • Farming sim that requires no application for government subsidies
  • Gargoyle mental health awareness
  • Relaxingly inaccurate depiction of economic exchange in a capitalist economy
