Why a DLC?There’s a partnership involved that keeps the virtual DualSense exclusive to DSX, and this is the way it works with an active DLC since i don’t make the driver or own it. You can see the developer is Nefarius Software Solutions e.U., not me.I bought the DLC, but it's still locked?

This is most likely due to the cache system where it still thinks you don't own it. Please look for the Sync button to check with steam servers:
In DSX v3.1+, it's located in Virtual Device Options page in the Virtual DualSense tab or Home page.
in DSX v3.0.5, it's located in the Home Page under the Virtual Device section.
Allows the creation of a virtual DualSense Controller to be used with natievly supported games.
There are games that natively support a physical wired DualSense connected to your PC with no support for Wireless features, or if you happened to have the DualSense Edge controller that a native game doesn't support, this DLC aims solve those issues.
As the games send data to the Virtual DualSense, DSX is able to get that info, and send it to your physical controller that is connected either Wired or Wireless.
You can also modify the virtual DualSense input like Deadzones, Remapping, Motion, Touchpad, etc.. via DSX that games will see.
Read at the end for the future of this DLC and the new benifets to come.
Adaptive Triggers: Wired/Wireless
Light Bar: Wired/Wireless
Player Indicator LED: Wired/Wireless
Mute LED: Wired/Wireless
Standard Rumble: Wired/Wireless
Haptic Feedback
Audio
Not all native games send standard rumble (fallback), that means those games rely on haptics only and that requires a sound device attached to the virtual DualSense. DSX is unable to get the haptics data to send to your physical controller which will result in no vibrations at all.
Right now, a virtual DualSense with an attached Sound Device is in development. This will allow us to get the Audio and Haptics data to send to your physical device.
With the recent breakthrough in DSX, Bluetooth Haptics and Audio is now possible, so that means we will be able to get the data from the virtual DualSense with an attached device and send it to your physical controller via Bluetooth! That will give you the console-like experience on PC!
This DLC will be rebranded to DSX+. This means that you will continue to have access to the virtual DualSense, and gain more benifets:
Virtual DualSense Emulation (same as before)
Increased offline usage (from two weeks up to 1 month)
Run DSX without steam being needed with caching methods (requires a successful start of course for caching)
Any owner of the DLC, would gain all the above automatically.
Bonus For non owners: Get the chance to test out DSX+ features for a limited time to see if it's something you want to get.
