A sci-fi turn-based strategy game where you battle to conquer Cendovia. Choose your faction and combat style. Grow your army as you expand your territory. Customize your decks for each encounter as you adapt to the ever changing terrain. Put your troops to work or bring them into battle.
Cendovia Uprising is a turn-based battlefield card game. In each battle, you play cards to advance your army across the battlefield. Destroy the enemy's leader before they destroy yours. Tailor your decks to suit your strategy. Navigate challenging terrain as you fight among ten factions to conquer Cendovia.
There are 3 different play modes to choose from in Cendovia Uprising:
Campaign Mode: plot your course across Cendovia as you compete in a series of battles to conquer the island.
Scrimmage Mode: play stand-alone matches against NPCs of your choosing.
Online Mode: battle against others online in public or private matches.
There are five types of cards in Cendovia Uprising:
Fighters such as your leader primarily do the fighting, although they can do much more.
Drones generate tokens to fund your combat actions, and they also have a special self-destruct attack.
Portals help you teleport your troops across the battlefield while providing obstacles to the enemy and temporary stat boosts to your troops.
Equipment can be used to enhance your troops and block some enemy actions.
Events provide your leader with special one-time attacks.
Your cards have a wide variety of abilities that influence deployment, movement, attack, defense, healing, recruiting, and capturing.
Deployment - by playing cards you can deploy them onto the battlefield as fighters, drones, or portals. Some cards can deploy further ahead than others.
Movement - there are various movement stats for navigation. Some cards can even move through walls or teleport to bypass enemies.
Attack - melee, gun, cannon, and bomb attacks can be combined with many special abilities such as stunning, poison, and viruses.
Defense - shields allow you to block and parry attacks.
Healing - fighters with healing abilities can heal themselves and neighbors.
Recruiting - some fighters can recruit enemy fighters to switch sides.
Capturing - fighters can capture vulnerable portals and drones.
Your deck consists of your leader, starters, and reserves. Every battle begins with only your leader on the battlefield and your starter cards in your hand. In subsequent turns, you draw cards from your reserves. Tailoring your decks to match the terrain and opponent can aid you in combat. You can create many custom decks.
There are over 50 unique battlefields spread across the island of Cendovia. While they are all grid based, they vary in size and terrain. Each space on the grid has its own surface. With 8 different surfaces such as lava, water, and snow that each have different effects on your troops, many challenges and opportunities present themselves. Obstacles such as walls or holes can also restrict your movements and attacks.
In campaign mode, when you capture a territory you have access to its facilities. These include:
Stores where you can use tokens won in battle to acquire resources,
Factories to produce cards and upgrades,
Schools where you can train your troops,
Prisons to hold your enemies or free your allies,
Hospitals to heal your fighters,
Repair Shops to fix your drones and portals,
Power Plants to produce tokens, and
Transit Stations to fast travel across Cendovia.
Watch replays of any of your matches. Study your tactics from any angle to improve your strategy. Or just relive your glorious victories.
A decade ago on the remote island of Cendoiva, a robot uprising led to a civil war known as The Fracturing. With great struggle, humanity eventually gained the upper hand. After surrounding the robotic Takan Guard, the people became embroiled in territorial disputes amongst themselves. Instead of achieving unity, The Fracturing ended with ten factions, including the Takan Guard, settling to divide the island into ten regions. But this only resulted in a tenuous peace while the inhabitants rebuilt and re-armed themselves. Now the island finds itself on the brink of another civil war and your people must fight again for their survival.
Cendovia Uprising comes with over 400 cards which is plenty for any playstyle you choose. Play as any of the 10 factions. All players start with the same set of cards. There are no loot boxes and it's not pay to win.
This game includes 160 fighters, 110 drones, 76 portals, 51 equipment, and 9 event cards. While all these cards are available to you in scrimmage and online modes, in campaign mode you start with a small set of cards in your deck and gain more as you progress. Campaign mode is the only mode in which you can mix fighters from different factions into the same deck. Similarly, in Training Mode, you only are given a small set of cards to start, just enough for the lessons of each stage.
