Blêktre 2081

Beneath its old-school adventure game look, Blêktre 2081 is a mutant MMORPG: everyone in the same world, a self-managed turbo-capitalist city, up to the power to make the game free.

You know that MMO where you can do absolutely anything? This is it. Defecate in someone else’s apartment, die from a Meowghurt overdose, or throw a rave — everything’s allowed.

Rather than a game, Blêktre 2081 is an online life simulator set in a single, persistent city — a grotesque cyberpunk dystopia where controlled chaos reigns, somewhere between South Park and retro adventure games.

Everyone fights for their share of the city, fueled by a circular economy based on corpses recycled into sausages, with rules self-managed by the players themselves.

A telling example: the player-president can decide whether undocumented players (demo users) can roam freely, or allow the player-cops to arrest them instead. In short: players can even decide whether the game is free.

Experimental, punchline-packed, and socially charged.
