封神之弈

Fengshen: Celestial Chess is an Oriental mythological card game centered on strategic battles of wits.

Background Story

After the finalization of the Fengshen List (List of Deities), the Heavenly Court established the "Celestial Chess Pavilion" as a place for immortals to relax.

Jiang Ziya held the cards, Lord Laozi pondered deeply, and Sect Leader Tongtian watched the game coldly, sighing silently at the decline of his Jie Sect. Zhao Gongming stroked his Sea-Calming Pearls and muttered, "The Fengshen List has ruined me!" Meanwhile, the Three Xiao Sisters secretly altered the card order using their Primordial Golden Bucket—earning a chuckle and rebuke from Ancient Buddha Ran Deng: "You still have the stubborn streak of the Jie Sect!"

Suddenly, a commotion erupted at the Southern Heavenly Gate. It turned out that Immortal Wuyun had transformed into a golden carp and jumped onto the card table, leaving Taoist Zhunti exclaiming repeatedly, "The Western Religion has lost another disciple..." The Fengshen War is long over; why not pass the time playing cards?

Message from the Developer

Greetings, fellow immortals! I’m Yezhu, the producer of Fengshen: Celestial Chess.

The birth of this game is actually a pretty "impulsive" story.

One afternoon, our planner, Brother Ma, had just finished watching a Fengshen Yanyi (Investiture of the Gods) adaptation. He slammed his thigh and said, "The story ends right after the Fengshen List is finalized? Do immortals just laze around once they’ve met their KPI? That doesn’t make sense—this Heavenly Court is dropping the ball!"

A coder nearby, busy fixing bugs, didn’t even look up: "What? You want immortals to ‘re-enter the workforce’ and play mahjong with you?"

Our artist, Sister Mei, sipped her coffee gracefully and said, "If I could ‘discuss Dao while playing cards’ with Lord Laozi, watch the Three Xiao Sisters use their Primordial Golden Bucket to ‘sneak cards,’ and have immortal attendants serve tea by the side... Tsk, that’s the ultimate ‘slacking off’—fit for immortals!"

That’s when the idea clicked for me: "Hey, this could work! Why not turn this immortal card game into reality?" Holding cards is like commanding a chess game—strategize and take control! Shake the Golden Bucket to shift the balance of power (a "physical cheat"?), transform into a carp to stir up chaos! But... it still felt like it was missing a touch of "celestial charm" and "grand vision."

And so, the concept for Fengshen: Celestial Chess was officially greenlit—born from a group of "office workers" venting and daydreaming about immortals’ daily lives! We wondered: What kind of "post-Fengshen" celestial realm do players really want?

  • Stress-Relieving Immortal Cultivation: Your "cultivation" means immersing yourself in card games, watching immortals banter, and enjoying celestial elixirs. No need to save the mortal world—focus on "seizing your destiny" (or winning the game)! Watch if Sect Leader Tongtian is "cursed with bad luck" again today.

  • Immortals Have Tricks Too: Don’t be fooled by their otherworldly grace! Is Lord Laozi frowning because he’s plotting a move, or because he’s stuck with bad cards? Is Sister Xiao smiling at you because she has a good hand, or because she’s about to "sneak your cards"? See through their microexpressions, and you’ll be the "card table actor" of the next round!

  • Vivid Characters, Full of Humor: Jiang Ziya—calm as a veteran! The Three Xiao Sisters—masters of quick hands! Taoist Zhunti—the "meme king" when he loses a good card! These lively characters will have you laughing out loud as you play.

  • Wisdom Is the Real Currency: Luck alone isn’t enough! Compete with acting skills (pretending to have bad cards to confuse opponents), calculation (predicting the immortals’ next moves), and even guard against "physical cheats" (warning: the Three Xiao Sisters’ Primordial Golden Bucket is no joke)! Every move is both brain-teasing and thrilling!

Now, the card tables are ready (and still being polished), and the celestial tea (servers) is warmed up! Everything is set—we just need you, our "chosen card partners"! Without your laughter (and feedback), this immortal card game won’t feel lively.

We treat every piece of your feedback as a "celestial edict." Follow us and pre-register now! We’ll continue to share "exclusives" later:

  • Card Table Secrets: Who is the "sneakiest" in the Heavenly Court? Did Lei Zhenzi ever flip the table with his wings?

  • Immortal Anecdotes: Does Daji like to use her charm to win card games? Does Wen Zhong cheat by peeking at cards with his third eye?

Finally, I’ll be hanging around the comment section—let’s chat!

  • Which immortal do you most want to "compete against"? The resourceful Jiang Ziya, or Ne Zha who claims "my fate is mine to command"?

  • If you could use a Fengshen magic treasure as a "legitimate cheat," what would you choose? How would you use it? Force opponents to play cards with the Heavenly Whip? Let Xiao Tianquan (Heavenly Dog) peek at cards for you?

Don’t hold back, fellow immortals! Your ideas are the best "cheats" for this game! Let’s make this immortal card game more exciting, more wonderful, and more addictive together!
