Wild Americas, New Blood

Wild Americas

Your work on Mountain Island as a geologist for the multi-national mining company GeoCorp places you at the center of an epic tale with earth-shattering revelations.

Do you remember that scene from Blade 2, where the Vampire Nation is draining his blood into the giant storage pool below? All hope seems lost, until Blade is released from his shackles and begins a slow, dramatic crawl to the edge, falling into the pool below, as Reinhardt lets a few rounds off. Go watch the clip when you have a minute, and remind yourself of the true definition of "go time." Well, that's your analogy for where Wild Americas as a project was, on the brink of a fate where thousands of indie "Early Access" titles have gone, into the void. But no, we will not go quietly into the night. Just the opposite, actually. The old guard of AAA, set in their ways, fat and happy, whilst drinking the blood of your in-game purchases, teters on the brink of destruction. They have become accustomed to slurping up talent, locking them into a mundane workflow, and suppressing the creativity and passion that this industry was born from. The layoffs, the multi-million dollar bombs, and an entire generation of gamers bred for nothing more than milking. Like Morpheus, I stood looking across the vast landscape, filled with machines using humans as Duracell batteries. I knew that out there, amidst the storm, there was talent. Individuals who knew their worth, and we're ready to follow the white rabbit. And so, I began to search through the pods, pulling bodies from the goop, finally locating some AAA talent that could help us shape the future of Wild Americas.  So, this November we begin our next phase of development, bringing major changes to the systems, mechanics, and overall gameplay. More information about the updates and what you can expect will be provided bimonthly, here on Steam. So if you purchased the current build or are checking the game out for the first time, stay tuned.  -MB
