[h2] Fellow Dwarves! [/h2]
Today we are announcing what is to come in the full Early Access launch of Orebound. But first we want to say a massive thank you to everyone that has joined in the demo, joined the [url=https://discord.gg/94YyhP37sK ] Discord [/url], provided feedback and helped us fix bugs and get the game into a better place before launch. [b]Nearly 25,000[/b] Dwarves have checked out the game and that has blown us away!
We have realigned what we have been working on after getting everyone's feedback over the last 8 weeks.
Our plan was to add more layers and add more machines however after listening to everyone's feedback we decided to swap that out and instead work on the most heavily requested features that you have all requested over the last eight weeks.
This took some time to re-organise and we will put a roadmap out at launch with the updates that are to come but we think you’re going to like this!
[h2]The Citadel[/h2]
Firstly we want to introduce the citadel to everyone. This is an interactive area for the game where you will wake up in your dwarven bed and can start or load a new game, read story and lore about Orebound, take off in your Airship or check out the Anvil bar for a good social time!

You can also find early supporters in the Hall Of Founders and visit the great vault. If you’re feeling up for it you can go and see the King himself.
Why have we made the citadel? Apart from it being extremely awesome. This will be a place where you will eventually be able to go on multiple different adventures. Right now you can go on the Three Brothers Quest. Eventually you will be able to go on many quests from this area.

For example, let's say there's a quest with tonnes of gold, or a particular quest that means you have to make ale, an extremely intense orc area, only snow and ice, only sand. This is just the tip of what we can do with Orebound. So we wanted an area where you could all interact and start these quests.
This is a great framework for us to keep adding content over the coming months and years.
[h2]Customiseable Game Dropping Inventory On Death[/h2]
In addition to the Citadel, when a Dwarf starts a new game they can now select from multiple different scenario values.

We have added some customisable settings for the game. At launch you will be able to change the damage that enemies do, the health they have, the amount a deposit will give you and if you want to keep your inventory on death. This was also a heavily requested feature.

[h2]Infinite Seeds[/h2]
We did support 100k maps, but now we have enabled the full force of the generator and you will now get a random seed of 2 billion maps. You’ll truly never play the same game twice.
[h2]Blocking Attacks[/h2]

Another highly requested feature for the game was the ability to block attacks. This was one thing we wanted to get into the game before we launched as it was heavily requested. Now players can block attacks with the right mouse button.
This will take away from their stamina bar until stamina is at zero. Then you will damage your health! We want to work on this in future by adding Armour types and buffs or debuffs to the system.
[h2]Mining Helmet and Backpacks[/h2]
Another highly requested addition to the game was a mining helmet to light up the players area as they dig without the addition of having to place torches. Now the player can equip a mining helmet and you can see when you mine in the dark!

The second piece of equipment we have added to the game is the backpack. This will allow you to increase your inventory after its crafted. Allowing the player to carry more loot!

[h2]Elevators[/h2]
One of the two larger systems we have added to the game is elevators. One thing we released when making a vertical game is that players need to be able to traverse the landscape in a vertical direction. Elevators will now allow easier transportation for the player around the deep mines! You can add multiple stops to elevators, not just two. You can use the elevator and its shaft ( lol ) pieces as you wish. This means you can make the shaft as long or short as you want…. ( lol ). We think this will really help players to navigate vertically.

[h2]Inventory and Hotbar System Changes[/h2]
We have changed the inventory so the user can drop items right into the hotbar. We have removed the top left bar as we realized we were just doubling up on item space for no reason and all users seemed to just drag items into the hotbar.
We have also made all the hotbar keys rebindable.

[h2]Mine Carts[/h2]
The second large system implementation we have finished the first version of is Minecarts! Where would you be without a good minecart setup for a Dwarven empire. This system will allow you to transport larger amounts of goods and items. A full stack per cart in fact. You will also be able to traverse the landscape by standing on top of them! The system will input and output whatever you like and you can filter what gets dropped off and picked up!

[h2]Throwable Explosive[/h2]
We’ve also added a grenade or throwable explosive TNT so you can lob explosives at Orcs or rocks or whatever you want! You will be able to craft these in game and take a big stack o bombs with you to throw at whatever comes your way!

[h2]Turrets [/h2]
The game now contains four placeable belt fed turrets, these include both bullet and flame turrets! You’ll have to make items and feed belts into these turrets in order to defend your base!

We've seen a tonne of players love to customize the inside of their base, so we've added quite a few more tables and items to place!

We will also be adding doors to the launch so you can place them in the entrances of your base!
