I am very excited to let Steam get their hands on this (and a bit anxious). This game has been in development for quite a while now and I think it is finally ready to have some early access outside of the alpha testers. I do appreciate the testers taking time to play this and I am glad that they enjoyed it! Now it is time for others to enjoy the game. If you really like this game, support the game and leave reviews and feedback. I am going to make an effort to be more verbose in updates and communication rather than my normal rattling off of bulleted information (like this announcement into the void).
Normal Updates
I am hoping to do regular updates for this game. The frequency of the updates may depend on the amount of feedback and reviews the game gets but I would like to aim for at least 1 bigger update per month. In the past I have done every week or other week, which I may still do depending on what the changes are. Please read the early access description if you are interested in the planned goals of this game. I would also like to include the following in the larger monthly updates:

At least 1 new weapon

At least 1 new vehicle

At least 1 new building or variation of existing buildings

New zone templates.

Occasional new enemies

Story updates

Game mechanic additions

Player feedback based on reviews and discussions

Normal bug fixes

Hotfixes
Unspeakably there may be times where unexpected things happen. For example if there is a reoccurring game breaking issue or someone is having problems with a save file. These sort of problems should have a quick turn around time.
Developer ramblings

Story
I would like to say that the story is maybe 1/8th implemented (1/3 in my head I guess). I like the direction the story is going and I have a good ending in mind that should be interesting. I would suggest that those who would play this game for the story expect the unexpected and be prepared to have to wait a month or so for new chunks of the story to be added. At some point assuming things are going well I may also start adding "side quests" or side story and odd jobs.
Weapons
The weapons added to the game are most likely going to be uniquely obtainable. Many will only be found on the enemy they spawn with or in specific loot boxes that are randomly placed throughout the world (they are free... not dirty microtransactions... just boxes with loot in them you can find and open). Other weapons will simply be available in the gun stores.
Vehicles
As I said I will be adding vehicles as I go. The more I add the more complex the traffic will become. I am still on the fence about whether or not to make them obey traffic laws. One vehicle I am excited about adding is the bus. I want the player to be able to ride around / walk inside / on the bus from stop to stop and engage with the environment from inside (walk around and shoot from the bus). At some point I would like to add air vehicles but I will talk about that more later.
World generation / zones
There is a concept in the game currently of "zones". The zones determine what sort of tiles can spawn in the area and the general layout of the location (infinite world... in theory anyway). As time and updates go on these will become more complex and more zones may be added. Currently there are only 2 types (residential and commercial), later more may be added dramatically changing the world (industrial, crime, airport, military, etc.) It should be pretty cool! The world itself is persistent to some degree, if you drive a long way away and come back it should be the same as you left it (referring to the static environment). NPCs and other dynamic objects may be somewhat more unpredictable. The entire world is based off of a global seed that determines the pseudo-random generation of the rest of the world (infinite... may be some hardware limitations if you head in one direction for many many hours, good luck exploring the whole world though...). One nice thing is that I cannot predict everything that is out there, and the more I add the more unpredictable it becomes (don't panic)! There is currently a tactile way to change the seed included in the first story chunk (though it may not be apparent). This will likely change in some way later on, it is just there for now to have the functionality present.
Content
There is undeniably a lot of content already in this game and a lot more planned. The more variation, objects, weapons, buildings, cars, mechanics added to a procedural game the more interesting it will become. As it stands today it is plenty interesting and it leans towards a chaotic sandbox. I would like to add all the things I want and everyone wants to this to make it truly its own world. That may be unrealistic (by definition) but I would like to make an effort.
Game support
I would love to keep updating this game for years to come, we will see what happens. If you like the game and want to see more content and the game to be kept alive, leave a review, tell your friends, start discussions, and engage with announcements. I am going to do my best to meet expectations.
Enjoy!
