Set in 1924 Massachusetts, take the role of Detective Monroe, Professor Webley, and Boss Pendleton of the Pendleton Agency, all of whom have come to possess an eerie black rock with strange properties.

Adjustments were made to both the enemies and the players to move towards "Normal" difficulty. The numbers changed a lot. Changes *Enemy scores have been rebalanced. -Health reduced to more reasonable levels overall. -Strength and Defenses redistributed between bosses and grunts. *Player score growth has been rebalanced. -All scores have been buffed, so characters start a bit tougher and stay that way. *Items are more potent. -Water, Bread, and Laudanum, among others, have received boosts to their formulas. -Weapons are a bit stronger. *Negative states now cause DEF loss. -Even "Deduce" now imparts a 10% DEF loss on the scanned target. -States that affect magic, such as Silence, cause Magic DEF loss. -Use negative states from spells and techs to break enemy defenses! *Spell and skill abilities rewritten to not be cutoff. -Also, Eldritch Tether was missing its animation. This is fixed. *A certain event has been fixed to spawn the enemy that belongs there. *A link to the game manual has been added to the game's menu.
