Dance of Cards is a tactical gambling RPG where you try to survive seven days of a deadly cruise by playing poker.
Ver 1.2.0 update is out!
This one is beefy. Let’s go through it.
[Quality-of-Life improvement]
To make sure you don't miss a good hand, a special indicator will now remind you when you get at least a pair. Set to On by default, it can be turned off in the Extra Settings.
[New Mode]
Honest Poker is now available. In this mode, characters have minimum luck, talents (both passive and active) are disabled, and no one gets stressed. An honest experience for sure!
[New Mode]
Custom Game is now available. In this mode, you can freely adjust the setup of your characters and opponents. You can set their level, talents and equipment. If you like a particular setup, you can save it and return to it later.
[New Mode]
Last but not least is the addition of Challenge Mode. When you start a new game, you'll be given the option of starting in either Normal Mode or Challenge Mode (assuming you've completed the game at least once).
In Challenge Mode, you can turn on a variety of handicaps that will add a new twist to your gameplay, including increased enemy stats, decreased ally stats, level one lock, disabled talents, disabled panic and a fold penalty.
While most of the options are self-explanatory, I need to explain how the fold penalty works. If all but one opponent folds, that opponent gets extra chips.
You can turn any of these options on or off as you wish.
Challenge Mode can also be activated in a current playthrough without starting a new one, if you want to try it out right away. Press pause, press F10, then save and reload. If everything went well, you will see a Challenges sub-menu added to the menu accessed by pressing C/Y.
If you have any ideas for additional challenges, please let me know and I will see if I can add them.
