C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield

This game combines roguelike-style deckbuilding with SRPGs to create an all-new experience! Follow Vel as she leads the Clausewitz Battalion into battle against Fahftania and the Hellmuth Brigade. Collect 100 different cards to build the strongest deck and fight enemies on a map shrouded in mist.

We have made the following updates and would like to inform you: ▼ New Features 1. Stage Selection Screen Introduced in Story Mode A stage selection screen has been introduced in Story Mode, making it easier to track overall progress. You can now freely choose stages, allowing you to play cleared stages if you get stuck, making it easier to clear difficult stages. Other functions remain the same as in World Map Mode, and in the stage selection screen, you can "change unit equipment", "check your deck", and view "a list of cards obtainable in each stage." Individual Unit Deck Building: Discard Screen Post-Stage Clear We have visualized how many cards each unit selects on the discard screen after clearing a stage. In the discard screen where 0 to 5 cards can be discarded, we have adjusted the UI so you can immediately see how many cards each unit is discarding. By opening the pause menu, you can restart the stage. This feature is useful if you didn’t get the cards you wanted or accidentally let a unit die and want to start over. Buff/Debuff System Adjustments Buffs and debuffs applied during combat can now carry over to the next battle. Previously, they were reset after each battle, but with this change, strategies like lowering the enemy’s defense to increase damage from other units are now possible. 2. Equipment Gained During Stages Can Be Equipped Post-Stage Equipment acquired during a stage can now be equipped during the preparation phase after clearing the stage. Previously, only the unit that gained the equipment could change it during the stage. Based on feedback that this was unclear, we simplified this mechanic to make it more user-friendly. 3. Unit Placement Pre-Stage Changed to Full Unit Deployment (Up to 8 Units) Previously, the number of units deployable was limited per stage, but this restriction has been removed. Now, you can use all your units to tackle each stage! 4. Removed Full HP Recovery When Voltage Increases Previously, HP was fully restored when Voltage increased, but we felt that managing HP while challenging bosses is a key aspect of roguelike deck-building games (and SRPGs as well). To enhance this sense of tension, we made this adjustment. After clearing a stage, all units will fully recover their HP. ▼ Balance Adjustments 1. Adjusted the Difficulty of Enemies Across All Stages The difficulty of enemies in all stages has been adjusted. The difficulty of the latter stages has been increased compared to the previous version. If you get stuck on a stage, try replaying cleared stages to acquire cards and strengthen your deck! Additionally, by using Commander Skills to boost all units' stats, progressing through stages should become easier. 2. Adjusted the Following Cards: [Knight's Resolve] Adjustment: Effect Before: Cavalry only, +15 damage, 60% defense increase (3 turns) New: Cavalry only. Attack: +10 Additional Damage Increase Defense by 60% (1 turns) *Note: Strengthening this card increases the added damage and the number of turns for the defense boost. [Divine Protection] Adjustment: Effect Before: Removes all debuffs New: Dispels all debuffs. Heals 1 HP with 1 hand card. *Note: Strengthening this card increases the amount of HP restored. [Enchanted Shield] Adjustment: Cost Before: Cost 1 New: Cost 2 *Please note that there are no updates for the DEMO version.
