Fernageddon

Do you like to burn things? We do! A combat turn-based RPG / strategy game. About burning down the world...

Many minor bugs fixed, quite a few balance changes... Great Weapon Sweep should now work properly. Swap Weapons should now work properly. If you are using the option to have the info box in the corner, rather than over the action, you will still see the percentage chance to hit (only) over the action. Auto-centre of the screen on the person currently selected, when it is their turn. I was a bit dubious about doing this, but it's my favourite feature of the last few patches now. Makes it much easier to see quickly whose go it is. AI improvements and new AI encounter dependent tactics If you are lucky enough to recruit a big guy they should now be a bit better. (e.g Trolls on your team were getting hit with unarmed penalty) New sound effects (and one of the music tracks was silent, so has been removed for now as I can't find the original...) All professions now in place, up to Level 10. Basically I've defined the skill matrix which shows what professions can take what skills, needing what coin flip. (Normal, Blessed, Chosen etc) New Quickcast skill! (cast your spells for fewer AP) New Hill graphics in the strategic map. Fewer elites earlier in the game. Less likely to be crushed by an early minotaur now... All wandering armies and garrisons slowly get stronger as the game goes on. Tinkered with starting bands. Added a few new differentiations between the start ups, and generally, you get more warriors. I found the default Cultist startup very squishy indeed, so now a little more beefy. The bad news is I had to disable the feature where you can hold down the mouse button to move foward on the strategic map, as it seems to cause a CTD for no particular reason. It still works fine if you hold down the go forward hot key, or if you move about without holding the mouse button. Hopefully I will be able to renable this at some point soon! Next up... I'm reviewing all the encounters. They're still a little vanilla now, but the critters will be getting a raft of new special abilities and behaviours.
