Ever wondered what life is like for a merchant in a role-playing game? Wonder no more! Experience life behind the counter in RPG Merchant, a VR game that lets you serve customers and face unexpected challenges with the help of a mysterious wizard.
We've just rolled out an update to RPG Merchant that addresses some feedback regarding the Challenge modes.
We realised that players who skipped the Story levels and went straight to Challenge mode or Endless mode were not shown how to use the item variant switching mechanic, which lets you change an item into a Gilded (two star) or Enchanted (three star) variant that customers might ask for. Some players may have found these levels unplayable if customers asked for these items too often.

To fix this, we've added a reminder to the tutorials for all Challenge and Endless modes that explains this mechanic.
If you prefer to skip the tutorials, here's the quick version: press the [b]thumbstick[/b] (Oculus Touch) or [b]touchpad[/b] (Vive) on an item you're holding to cycle through its variants. Press once for two stars, twice for three stars, and again to reset to one star. The customer's icon will highlight yellow when you give them the correct variant.
We hope this makes these modes easier to play if you haven't gone through the Story mode. This was an oversight on our part, and we apologise for any frustration.
