[p]Hello everyone![/p][p][/p][p]Recently, I've been made aware that there is some confusion surrounding the Demo, and how things appear on the store page.[/p][p][/p][p]Right now, the Demo is very similar to the paid version, with only some minor differences; such as being able to host/join custom sessions and the inclusion of the Arena minigame. Basically, the Demo isn't really a Demo... and while this is intentional, it's a bit confusing.[/p][p][/p][p]To address this, a change is going to be made on [b]Friday, November 21, 2025[/b] where the Demo will be removed, and it'll instead be replaced with a more clearly marked Free-To-Play version. A [url="https://store.steampowered.com/app/2857820/Lightphobe__Premium_Upgrade/"]Premium Upgrade DLC[/url] will also be added to replace the contents of the current paid version of the game.[/p][p][dynamiclink href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/2857820/Lightphobe__Premium_Upgrade/"][/dynamiclink][/p][p]If you already own the paid version of the game, the Premium Upgrade DLC will automatically be added into your Steam account, and the game will continue to function the exact same as before.[/p][p][/p][p]However, if you're currently playing on the Demo, you'll need to switch over to the Free-To-Play version once it goes live to continue playing the game.[/p][p][/p][p]The Free-To-Play version is also here to stay permanently, although [u]official[/u] servers may be scaled back after January 2026 (e.g. less servers in less regions). But peer-to-peer sessions and community servers will continue to work as normal (and it should basically stay that way forever).[/p][p][/p][p]Hopefully this clears everything up, but let me know in the comments or on [url="https://discord.gg/wx6VwVthMS"]our Discord[/url] if you have any questions!
